Our Theory of Change:

Love and connection are the driving force behind meaningful change. Unified and with meaningful bonds, Tennesseans are equipped to meet their civic duty together.

Rise & Shine pursues three objectives:

  • Tennesseans are united for gun responsibility, the protection of children, and economic security and opportunity for all. Rise will work to increase engagement and awareness so that all Tennesseans are engaged in the civic process.

  • More and more Tennesseans are realizing that “if it’s meant to be, it’s up to me” and are getting engaged to ensure their voices are heard. Rise will work with community members as they come into increased engagement with the civic process.

  • Development deals can benefit and harm communities depending on how they’re designed and implemented and the resources they displace. Rise educate and train Tennesseans on the equitable and effective use of resources for the benefit of all Tennesseans
